Infrared running cost

Choose a heater and how you will use it. The cost uses its rated power and your own electricity rate.

How we worked this out

Power in kilowatts times your rate per kilowatt-hour gives the cost of one hour: this is the method on our About IR heaters page. At a heat level below 100 per cent we use that share of the full power. The weekly cost is the hourly cost times the hours each day times the days each week, and the monthly cost is the weekly cost times 52 and divided by 12. It is an estimate from the rated power, and your electricity bill is the final figure.
