About Heat Cool & Mist Co

The largest range in Australia

We are your go-to destination for the largest and finest selection of infrared indoor, all weather and outdoor heaters, cooling units, misting fans and misting systems in Australia. The Firestick, our original low-consumption gas heater, is described as the world’s leading heater, proven in many venues as the leading heater over the past 15 years.

Our goal

We want our customers to take control of their patios, hospitality areas and every other space, and to use them whatever the weather. Gone are the days when extreme temperatures limited an outdoor experience or forced you to waste valuable space.

Whether it is a cold winter day or a scorching summer night, our heaters, coolers, misters and fans keep homes and commercial spaces at the right temperature.

How it began

In 2007 David and Sharon sold their highly successful Ribs and Rumps restaurants and went travelling, always keeping an eye on the hospitality industry. On a very hot day in Rome they found a street with six or seven restaurants on each side. One side was empty and the other was full. The full side had misting fans cooling its customers.

Back in Australia they went straight to China to find a misting fan made to industrial standards. After travelling from factory to factory they found what became the reliable, tough Tornado. On the same trips they visited a heater factory that was just starting to develop flame heaters. After many samples travelled back and forth, and at great cost, Australian standards were obtained and the Firestick was launched, followed by the Fire Fountain and the Fire Lamp.

When all area heaters were banned by the Department of Fair Trading, David fought the prohibition notice and had NSW Fair Trading declare all of Climate Australia's heaters safe for use.

As the business grew it added home misting products, power misting systems, evaporative coolers and more heating and cooling products. In 2023 it became Heat Cool & Mist Co, with a bigger cooling range including the Monsoon evaporative cooler and the Cyclone fan, a new range of MistMate home products, and a range of low-consumption indoor and outdoor waterproof infrared heaters.
